Founded in 1863, the Town of Wickenburg is a historic rural community in Arizona, known for its rich heritage and outdoor tourism. Upon realizing much of its on-premise infrastructure was nearing end of life, the town sought a solution that could better meet their IT needs, particularly security and scalability.

They needed to transition to a more reliable, secure, and scalable solution that aligned with their goals. To support their vision for economic development and improve reliability, the town needed a cloud platform that could not only store critical information securely but also ensure their systems could scale as the town expanded.
Solutions
To modernize the Town of Wickenburg’s IT infrastructure, Atlasticity guided the town through a seamless transition to the cloud, ensuring their critical data and applications were securely migrated.
We helped secure funding from the AWS Migration Acceleration Program, reducing the initial cost burden of the migration and allowing the town to reallocate resources. The town’s critical records, including citizen and county data, were moved to Amazon S3 for secure, scalable storage.
We also set up a Virtual Private Cloud with Route 53 to manage their Active Directory, ensuring secure, centralized access. Using Amazon Application Migration Service, we successfully migrated their web server and internal applications to the cloud without disrupting town services.
To ensure continuous protection, we implemented CloudWatch alarms, enabling real-time monitoring and quick responses to any system changes. These solutions provided the town of Wickenburg with the flexibility, security, and reliability they needed to support their long-term growth goals.
